Juno-G + SRX 06 = good idea?

Juno-G + SRX 06 = good idea?

Hi everybody,

right now I am thinking about buying an SRX 06 to install in my Juno-G in order to get somewhat "real" sounding ready-to-use strings and some other orchester sounds.

I have realized that the Juno-G of course has some limitations concerning patch/performance/effect-features compared to the Fantom-Series. That's why I would like to know if the Juno-G fully supports all of the SRX 06' sounds.

Or does a SRX board on a Juno-G sound rather different compared to the same board installed in a Fantom?

Thanks in advance!

No ... there isn't any difference at all except you only get one slot, one choice ... If strings and orchestral instruments are your thing, you can't do much better ...
Some tunes and whatnot ...

yes no difference, however you can't install SRX on Fantom: it already has inside all the sounds in the SRX expansion and for expand it use ARX expansion

I got the SRX06, can recommend it. If you're doing orchestral arrangements, you may wish to port out pre-arranged sections to the audio recorder to free up MIDI tracks, as a lot of the patches are specific, eg orchestral stabs, tremolos etc. But you would have to do that anyway, whatever your chosen solution.

Buy it, have fun!

If you can easily afford SRX then do it.. but if you want only a few sounds, better to sample it from some VST or sth... for example I want only strings and choir, so I sampled some NICE choir and voilla :)
