Alright i wanted to know How to set my custom patches i make on the mv to like some what a one shot or hold wat u guys would call it for drums and stuff . Like how the patchs Roland provides how when u hit one of the pads on the drums the whole waves plays out instead of how ever u long u hold the pad . How can i do this for my custom drum patchs ?

hi

it's easy. get to the partial edit screen (by holding pad you want and hitting "quick edit" and turn on "one shot" ;-)

Not in front of my MV at the moment but it's towards the top of the page (above the amp envelope settings)

Amplifier envelope

You might want to turn up the release on your amplifier envelope to 127. You can also use the one shot but if the release on the amp envelope is turned way down, it may affect the sound. Such as cutting off the sustain on a crash or ride, or shortening the length of a big boomy kick.

I would encourage you to play with the amplifier envelope and discover how you can use it to shape your sounds.
A (attack) D (decay) S (sustain) R (release)
