i still can't AAAAAGHH! (juno-g)

so... i'm not into the synth world... (but electric pianos and acoustics) so...
really simple stuff it's getting really hard to me on my juno-g...

when i'm playing live, sometimes i like (for example) to play one note on STRINGS... holdin it by pedal or even with my finger on that key... then change instrument (PIANO) and start to play (over thaat string note still soundin)

ive noticed that when you are in patch mode and try to do this, the sound is cutted. :S i did try goin to MENU/SYSTEM/GENERAL/and change PATCH REMAIN to ON ... but still makin a quarter second silence. :S
any help?!?!?!??!?!

If it's only one note, you can just make performance with string sound only on that note and set the rest to piano. If you can't hold with finger you should edit string patch and set release to max, but unfortunately it will not sustain forever.. or at least I don't know how to do that :D
i guess i'm little impulsive...

i mean... in the middle of my performance i would like to be able to change to any instrument without that horrible silence.

Try this. Make a performance with strings as part 1 and piano as part 2. Press the song button. Play the string part and then use the up/down buttons to select piano whilst holding the notes. Play piano and the strings should sustain.

I'd really like to hear a workable solution to this myself... I hate the harsh cutoff when I switch patches.... why the heck can't it sustain a currently sounding patch when I switch? Maybe it can, but I can't figure out how....
I know exactly how you feel when even the most simplest things don't fall into place when you want it to. Well,,,, the only other way i can think of combining the sounds into a legato, in the Juno - G is to switch to perf mode/select seq temp, set strings on the first part and on the second part, set piano patch. Use left and right cursor for your parts and select where you want the key/range to be set. The manual will give you help !

turn effects switch off. Patch remain switch on.

That is another way for smooth transitions.

I have an X and have made templates up using RPS so I can switch between 16 different sounds at once and have any combination of any of those sounds at any time without any delay.
