MV 8800 Questions

Hi
I am interested in buying a MV just want to know can I
1. Play beats into a midi track using sonar like i would with a juno-g (Yes I know it has a onboard sequencer )
2. Control My soft synths with the sliders etc

If that's how you want to work I would look at a Fantom instead.
You can easily do MV type functions on the Fantom.
