I know there was mention of a tutorial on the German Roland website with notes on how to import all your samples at once into the 808. I can't seem to find this. Is this possible?

yeah, i saw that.
Before I had my samples in my Fantom which I would just drag into the roland /sample folder during usb storage. Basically it's the same, just that I have to rename them all with numbers, and drag into the /sample folder on the 808?

If my samples are already number(by the way I had the in the fantom), what do I do? Just drop them into the sample folder on the 808, then turn it on, and they're there? Or do I have to do another step importing them all.

Hi wade,

yes i would try it this way. Maybe you got a cf card for testing this free. If anything goes wrong just reformat the card (and ONLY the card!!!)

I think you should give some meaningful names to the samples

sorry, i'm a newbie at this machine.
i have all my samples in the folder, and I see them in the sample editor, and I can audition them. How do I get to them via patch on the actual machine?

press patch button 3 times so that group csam (card sample) is shown.

Dirk,
got it.. got em all in.
So they're all accessible via the unit,
but when I hook up to make rhythm kits, I do a read all on the editor, and none of the samples are found under (wave, user card).
any ideas?

dirk, or whomever,
here is my issue,
I have the samples in the editor visible.
I want to build a rhythm kit, so I pick an empty card rhtyhm kit on the box
I then start picking my instruments on a user rhythm kit on the editor.
Once i'm done, what do i do?
If I hit a button, it's a tone delayed, not a sample.
how do you save or play your rhythm kit?
