SuperSaw: Sh-201 vs JP-8000 vs Korg Radias
8 Dec 2007, 04:52Okay, so here is the deal...
I already have a Korg Radias and Fantom x8, but people say that Radias does not create authentic SuperSaws, like JP-8000 does.
How ever, it has unison mode (5 voices, uses resp amount of polyphony) in addition it can stack up to 5 waveforms using only 1 voice of polyphony. It has decent amount 24, which is useful, you create big sounds. It has also very cool effect section, and very awesome reverbs, and delays:
Also, it has dedicated noise oscillator, so you can add some dirt to your supersaws. + 2 LFO's and 6 virtual patches and 3 mod sequencers, 2 step seq and 1 arp, which can add live to supersaw patches.
Result, very fine and big SuperSaws - I'm very pleased with it.
But I was wondering, does JP-8000 offer more authentic supersaws? And what about Sh-201? Because where I live, a new Sh would be cheaper than used Jp.
Sorry for my noobieness, but what else has jp-8000 to offer? It's famous for it's supersaws, but what else?
