well I just preordered my G8 on sweetwater and now all I can do is wait...

anyone else preordered it?

why pre-order and pay sticker price?
Better wait when it's launched and then buy, chances are you'll get better price. You'll not get sooner anyway.

Those I deal with give the same good deal now as later....

I still want to try one live before I order it, however...

I am really unsure about the sounds, but I do plan on getting the ARX-2 as soon as it is available also.

On Friday, I ' preordered ' my Rd700GX but don't have an estimated delivery date

Still waiting for that

Did sweetwater give you an official delivery date on the G ?

I am not interested in what roland said at NAMM, that is old news

LOL, Greg, you're still a sucker for the Roland digital stage pianos. How many does this make? Let us know how it feels/sounds once you get it!

calien007 - don't expect it anytime soon. If all they were showing was a prototype at the NAMM show, unable to be played by show attendees, combined with no news, demo sounds, videos, or other information on any Roland websites, then most likely you're looking at at least a few months until a "G" will be showing up anywhere on the planet. Maybe even longer. I've noticed recently the new Roland NAMM gear doesn't show up in the stores until mid to late summer of the same year. Not to burst your bubble, but just to help you consider what might be a whole lot of patience you'll need while waiting.

Greg C....That has to be the stongest 3 tier keyboard stand ever built to hold 3 RD700's!

Man...I used to own the original RD-700 and it almost killed me to bring it to gigs!

I think the stand would have to made of rienforced concrete!

Whoa. Let's hope that's a typo. The only reason the G would get pushed back that far is if a MAJOR issue cropped up and they had to, say, redesign the main board from scratch or something.

Do any of the other sites reflect the same date?
