Lagging...

hey i'm having a problem with my X6. when i'm sequencing, and the song starts getting complex, my Fantom starts lagging and the songs starts sounding as if everything is out of whack and un-quantized. is there a reason for this that i can fix? is it because i need to upgrade the ram? or could it be that i'm on 1.0 firmware. please holla at brotha! thanks

That could be ... but also having alot of samples loaded into RAM and someone even said having the skipback sampling on can slow things down ... it's probably a combo of several factors ... maybe try and use the DATA THIN in track edit, too ...
Some tunes and whatnot ...

Ik had some timing issues in 1.0 which where solved in later versions (also the audio track upgrade helped to fix a delay in the autostart function, used for recording an arpeggio or rythm ). To check if the amount of RAM is the problem you can try if there's a difference in the performance of a song with or without (user) samples. Anyhow, since the RAM performance is not depending on the amount of memory being used I don't expect this to be the cause. The fantom simply lets you know when there's no memory left, and until that time there's no problem. It's unlikely that full memory is being used when just sequencing (whithout sampling and without audiotracks).
