RD-700SX Operating system update 1.07

14 Jun 2007, 13:50
Curious if anyone has downloaded the latest RD-700SX update? Any idea what it fixes or upgrades? Just wondering if it's worth the hassle and cost of buying a 10' USB cable. Cheers!

I did upgrade, and found out later that you could fry the whole system. ( I download some midi player to install it, it worked fine.)

I noticed no differance at all. So, my advise is don't bother.

Contact Roland, via email for some more advise.

Z-bro.

PS. How ya diggin the RD-700SX. I "LUV" mine. Best Piano out there IMHO. Also running with FanXR.

As long as I don't expect it to be a 10' Steinway it's a great DP with wonderful sound and features. After making lots of initial adjustments when I bought it 2 months ago, I now just turn it on and play the Superior Grand original setup. No need to mess with further tone adjustment, Roland's already come up with the best piano tone.

Agreed. The Superoir Grand. It's the best Pno I've owned.

And the RD makes a great controller if you pick up an XR later.

No diff at all with the upgrade. Don't bother.
