i won't....this game of the major manufacturers just reboxing their old technology is boring.

i will buy a new fantom x only if it substantially catches up with the vst world. vst instruments are gaining in both quality and quantity of sound when it comes to boring old hardware. a lot of music these days are written on software and played live with open labs, muse receptor or mac notebooks....i think the hardware manufacturers better come up with something like open labs - an integrated workstation synth that can play back a standard plug in of your choice, but :

1) not ugly crappy box like the neko where they seemed to have squashed a bunch of controllers together

2) yes, it should have some nice automap style knobs where the parameters are mapped to any vst main parameters - like the novation automap controllers

3) solid os like muse receptor - muse receptor sucks because it doesn't have any good controllers, its just a stupid box, and i need to manipulate the sounds like and have extensive control over my music

muse and open labs have good concepts but not near complete - they should take good points from each other and make a product unique

i think the big hardware manufacturers better get along with the 'users freedom' stuff - free to playback the engine you want (hey just throw in a roland sound engine, including the roland legacy collection (like the one on Oasys) - plug-ins of juno106, jupiter8, alpha juno, etc...wouldn't that be incredible????

Well I just bought a Fantom X and have gotten into about 2.65482% of this board so I'm going to do some more exploring and music making with it. While the list is nice at some point one needs to be content and happy and start making music.
