Welcome to the "Effects" forum

Hey all,

I think it's the right time to open a dedicated forum for effects. I am a big fan of Roland's DSP work as well as their Boss pedals, and I'll be happy to see some good discussions here!

Hi Artemio,

Its nice to see the birth of a new section but... don't you feel it's time to have a dedicated Boss and Edirol Forums? ;-)

Boss:

- All their effects belong to "Effects"
- "Recorders and multitracks" forum will soon be opened
- Drum machines belong to "Groove, sample and beat boxes"

Edirol:

- "Controllers and interfaces" covers pretty much everything. Other stuff can be discussed in "Other Roland gear".

How can I purchase a Roland 501 Space Echo?

Hello any Roland Moderator and everyone!

I am desparately agonisingly trying to obtain a Roland Space Echo 501 Unit or the SR-555 (rack version). Can I buy directly from Roland or not?

My second question, is why has not Roland try to make same (limited production/editions) or similar Analogue Echo units as there are a big demand for these unique brilliantly engineered effects unit the world over! The second hand market is ridiculously expensive and only very bad conditioned units are exremely rarely available! Or at least make the original blueprint available to do DIY community ( I would prefer that Roland Japan re-produce them, though..).

Roland Space Echo units have a huge worldwide demand in the Reggae Sound Systems and Reggae Recording Systems has these are the units which created the Instrumental Reggae Dub Music from the 1970's, which recordings are still big sellers to this very day! Please could you tell me is it possible from Roland(Japan) to make these units available again?

To make sure you get any answers, please post it as a separate topic.
