Pitch bend/ mod is glitching on Xa

Anyone had this problem? When I use the picth bend/ mod lever, it glitches sometimes like, if I push the mod lever forward for modulation, sometimes when it comes back, it sends the pitch to the bottom but I'm not even bending the pitch lever left or right at all. Sometimes it gets stuck there and I have to flip it up or down real quick to get it to stop. Kinda sucks. Would I have to send this to roland to get it fixed? Thanks,

Glitching on mod lever

Hi Eric,
I had this problem on my XP50. I got Roland to send me the service notes. I put my XP50 into test mode and found that the pitch bend/mod lever was sending midi data to the synth without me touching the lever. I did the usual factory reset but to no avail. So I replaced the unit. £15 and it was a piece of cake to replace. Took the base off, 4 screws hold the unit in and then diconnected the the one lead that connects the lever to the main board. After that it worked a treat. I know ita not the same synth but Roland do have a way of sticking to tried and tested methods so hopefully if you haven't tried a factory reset yet then this maybe the solution.
