You need to uninstall the D50 and the extra patch banks then re-install the D50 and open it once before installing the extra banks.

I had this happen the day after you posted about. I had the USB to my PC connected. I unplugged it, it booted fine. No memory stick. I've booted it many times since with no recurrence. intermittent, yes. Nerve wracking.....
