The MC-909, from what I understand you need a laptop if you want to use the MC808 properly. But with the MC-909 it's straight out of the box, what you see is what you get. The MC-909 is a beast!

Cheers! I did try another cable like you said and still get the same message. The only conclusion I can make is that the MIDI out on the Soundbite Micro doesn't work properly. Thanks for the help!

I've got: 2 x Technics SL-1200MK2 Rane Empath DJ Mixer Yup, these are my baby's ! Redsound Sounbite Micro, to convert the audio signal to a MIDI clock signal. Any and all help is very much appreciated, cheers!

I've tried that, but if I do that I won't be able to press play on the MC-909, then it needs to be controled from an external MIDI controler. It's been driving me nuts!
