Fantom Guitar

When I tried out the Fantom X in the store, I distinctly remember an accoustic guitar that had "fret noise" built in. Was this a homade patch/performance, or am I just missing it somewhere in my sound lists?

I have the xa, and it has that patch-stock. Couldn't tell you the name though because I heard it while going through all the guitars in the category, but can assure you it's there somewhere.

I think it's user 007 or 008 on the X, but for some reason, I don't get the fret noises on my unit. I'm wondering if it is because of the sustain pedal I am using: It is a simple on/off without the half-pedal. Could anyone confirm this?

i think you have to have the continous pedal hooked up.
and set up right.
when you let go of the pedaL sustaining notes you get a slight fret noise. hope this helps

The fret noise is on wave 4 of the FlamecoGt (factory settings, first acoustic guitar user preset, nr 8 or 9 I believe). If you check its patch settings you'll notice these settings:

TMT, lower velocity; 120,
so you'll have to hit a key quite hard to actually hear it when releasing a key (default is 0, max is 127). Lower this value to increase your odds :)

Additionally, it's only audible between C3 and C6, its TVA level is set to 87, and unlike the other 3 waves the wave gain is left on 0. So the sound is also rather soft, too.

I've cranked up the odds and volume a bit on this sample, you should be able to hear it now :)

Peterned,

You rock! By lowering the tmt lower velocity a bit, I finally came up with the "sloppy" sound I was looking for. I guess someone had changed it at the store I first tried the fantom at.

Once again, thanks a bundle!
