I watched the video. Ed Diaz said multiple times that people should update their Fantom to version 3.01.

Why should we do that now if the an update is coming? Usually, it is possible to skip updates. So, if an update is coming, people could just directly install the new firmware, instead of wasting time and installing 3.01.

If an update is coming, he could have said instead: If you are not already on version 3.01, then do not bother about updating now.

Did I miss anything?

If it’s a BIG update, they might want users to have the latest firmware. :)

I’ll admit I’m surprised this didn’t drop already seeing as Yamaha moved up their big reveal. Maybe Roland will drop the update on the 5th? Hehe That would be pretty cold of them though. lol
