Can't get TR-08 to connect to Windows 11

Hello, I am trying to connect the TR-08 to windows 11 but it's not picking up.

- Downloading the driver, but when I click the setup button it asks for permission and afterwards nothing
- Run the setup file with admin privileges, still nothing happens
- Tried installing through device manager. It would state that the drivers have been installed but lists that it was installed on 0 devices

Not sure what else I could do at this point. Does the TR-08 need to be in a particular menu setting for it to be picked up?

One more question, any recommendation for a good DAW application?

Do you have any 3rd party antivirus, and/or is Windows Defender mentioning anything for prematurely terminating the install?

Have you checked Event Viewer to see what it says under Applications after it fails to properly launch?

According to Roland's manual you need to power on the unit first before connecting it via USB, I assume that's the order you did after attempting to install the driver?

The TR-08 (once the driver is installed and the unit is connected and functioning properly) should just come up as a virtual USB audio stream, so you won't need any DAW applications.
