Audio in on Fantom X8

Hi folks. I have recently purchased an X8

Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question. But i am not beside my fantom to try this out

What i need to know is if the audio ins can be used as an audio through?.. I am looking to connect my Access Virus C (Audio L+R) through my Fantom. Ruling out the need for a mixing desk..with all audio coming through the Fantom..

but there is one prob (at least on the fxa): the sound in section clips pretty soon, about 6 dB before your external source would sound as loud as the Fantom does.. prepare for an external mixer.
