RD-88 - Separating Gain for Internal Speakers and Line Out?

Hi All

While having the built in speakers is mighty handy for home practice and the like, their use for monitoring seems to suffer from one small but obvious problem; you can't adjust the gain for the speakers and the Line Out individually.

In most situations you will probably want the speakers to be considerably louder than the line out signal, which will generally be going into a PA or mixer on, say, 40% signal. To get a decent volume in a larger rehearsal room You'd really want the speakers at about 75%.

I've had a good poke around, but haven't yet found a way to do this. Am I missing something or do I need to wage a campaign to get Roland to put this in an update? :-D

Cheers

This is such an important question. Has anybody been able to answer it?

Roland does not provide a detailed signal flow, like with many other boards, and there is no indication in the manuals that this separation exists.

Best place for input is Roland Backstage.

I have found no way of controlling these separately (apart from Speaker on/off button:) However has not been an issue on gigs as internal speaker insufficient for monitoring in my experience.
