Until a few days ago, I hadn't powered up my V-synth XT for almost ten years. It works fine thankfully.

I have a CF card in a PCMCIA adapter in the XT, the same one I used without issue years ago. Now, it worked the first time I powered it up, but now it doesn't, gives me the "PC CARD NOT READY" message when I try to format the card. I put the XT in factory test mode and for the card it says "NG Not Found."

I bought a PCMCIA SD card adapter, tried that and got the same messages.

If I put the CF or SD cards in a USB adapter, my Mac reads them fine.

I reformatted the CF card in a Windows machine, tried it again in the XT, no luck!

This exact set up used to work ten years ago, it's been sitting, now it doesn't work.

Any ideas on what I should do?
