PCMS Step LFO's

PCMS Step LFO's

I know I sound like a newbie but, what are and how are you supposed to use the PCMS Step LFO's? I'm playing with the values right now on a pad sound and I hear no difference in the sound. Do they modulate the standard LFO's? How are they supposed to be used?

Regards,

Sergi

Sergi, you need to set the Waveform of LFO 1 or LFO 2 to "STEP".

The STEP LFO is not a separate LFO. It is just a pattern you create that can be used as a Waveform by LFO 1 and/or LFO 2.

Hola Sergi,
The STEP LFO is a 16 step waveform generator that can be applied to LFO1 and/or LFO2 as one of their waveforms.

For example:
Choose a PCM-Synth PAD sound
Go to the Step LFO tab and configure on the 1st partial TYP1, and the 16 steps as follows: +36,-36, +36,-36,+36,-36,+36,-36,+36,-36,+36,-36,+36,-36,+36,-36

- Now go to the LFO2 tab and change the Waveform to STEP
- Change the Rate to 16
- Scroll down to TVF Env and set it to +63
- Set the PITCH DEPTH to +20

Play the keyboard and hear the result... Heavy Modulation on both TVF and PITCH

I hope you got the idea...
Have fun
