Choose the part for d-beam to control in a live set

4 Jul 2011, 04:42
Hi, I have a live set with a number of sounds layered and split across the keyboard. I have assigned filter cutoff to the d-beam and it seems to be working fine, however it only affects the sound in 'position 1' in the sound list, and I need it to affect 'position 4' (ie part 4).
I have tried assigning midi channel one to part 4 but to no avail!
Is it possible to set which part will get affected, or to make the d-beam affect all parts? I'm sure this must be do-able but I just can't work it out!
Thanks in advance.

Could be way off the mark on this one but if you select for example part 4 in your liveset then press F4 to bring up the control screen this lets you assign a D-Beam function for that part.

in fact when I assign a D-Beam function that function affects the sound for which ever parts have their keyboard switch turned on in live mode :s

Just had another look at this I can definitely manipulate the sound with the D-Beam for any active part in Live but can't see a way to make the D-Beam perform one function for any given part & a different function for a different part. Seems to me like it's one assignable function per mode.

I presume you're on firmware 1.50

Hiya, just to let you know, I tried what you suggested but it still only works on the active part (usually part 1) and not all parts. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know, I'm getting a bit desperate!
