Midi for Program up

I think that you'll not be able to use a midi pedal for the function program up/down. The program up/down function is not a GM standard function. The manufacturer provides this function for a usual switch pedal which you can connect to the fantom G. You can use your midi pedal to send standard midi CC parameters, but probably not program up/down. However, a switch pedal usually costs a couple of dollars and I would suggest you to simply buy one.

Cool. I have a pedal that I have been using for this but I was hoping to conglomerate all my pedals into one midi pedalboard. Ho-Hum...

Using Sysex messages from the Midi pedal

Hi PauloF, the pedal I am using is a behringer FCB1010 which, as standard, doesn't allow sysex to be sent from the foot switch, however I have found an alternative 'stompbox' style eprom update for the behringer that allows this so I do intend to use the sysex route.

If anyone else is interested in a decent footpedal for their G, the behringer FCB1010 with the UnO firmware chip looks like a good option.
