JV 30 replace/ install backup battery

Anyone know how to do this? I took the back off but the battery is not in plain view so I don't want to go any further without some guidance.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

hummm... are you loosing memory when you turn off the unit? i found out that my 10+yr old FA76 was one of the earlier ones to use flash memory so there is no backup battery to replace.

i have a feeling that if it's not in plane view check with roland and ask if it's a flash member based or not.

Did you get an answer on this? I contacted Roland and they said the JV-30 DOES have a backup battery. Unfortunately, they didn't tell me where it was located.
