Really cool but honestly, in my studio environment, not very ergonomically practical. I just got a 40 inch monitor (see picture below) and was trying to imagine it as a touch screen.



I would be having to reach over my keyboard to edit as opposed to using simple subtle mouse motions. Now as a 'mixing' station, or for DJing, those screens would be awesome!!

I certainly wouldn't refuse a large touchscreen if it was given to me! =D

Yeah that looks awsome and cleary points where controllers will be in a few years. However, I'm with Pguy: as a keyboard player it will be hard to use one of this size as its not practical to reach. But if something smaller comes, to place near my keyboads it defenitely would be a plus.

I love the sizes! I think it would be amazing to have.. and at these prices, i might just jump... Using a DAW with this really has to be production heaven.. Don't look for reasons why you wouldn't want it.. Look at the possibilities instead..

Well, with todays technology, this is a possibility. We are now able to produce flexible LCD screens with flexible touchscreens on the way! How about a keyboard where the entire top panel is a touchscreen. The layout would change depending on how you wanted the keyboard to function; as a workstation, in live play, as a piano, a MIDI controller, or any number of synths! Any number of presets could be available, or one could make their own, choosing slider and knob layouts to their liking!



The pic is just a hack representation of what I imagine, but I already want one!! =)

Oh and make sure the screen position is adjustable...

I can imagine using the screen as a Haken Continuum control surface...
