Monitors

i use the HS80M's with my FG. works great. not sure about the stand that your package comes with.

i would invest in the blue sky stands if you're plannning to pay more than $150. i use woodedn stands (i cant remember the brand name and use a primacoustic recoil stabilizer).

Yamaha are a mixed bag when it comes to monitor speakers tbh.

I have some small 30W Yamaha monitors for my desk at work (the one other than the studio) and have found them to sound lovley but on the other hand i purchased some other yamaha speakers for our hall. and they sounded terrible. Way too much top end, and very bassy.

Same with fostex our studio PM1's are terrible, but annother pair ive heard at hull sounded divine.

Basically im sure the quality of construction will be fine, but you wont know if they SOUND nice until you hear them for yourself.
