Creating drum beat

In the song screen, you'll notice the drum beat is labeled a phrase number. Note this number.

1. Press LIVE.
2. Press PAD MODE, press PAD 6 (?) Rhythm Pattern, and then PAD SETTINGS.
3. Cursor down to the Rhythm Pattern for Pad 1 and select the phrase you recorded.
4. Write the Live Set.
5. Rock n' roll.

Thanks for a very quick reply. The thing is that I've used quite a few sounds, so there are three MIDI tracks and therefor also three phrases. Still doable?

...and another thing:

The drum beat is using the sounds from the current live set when I press the pad, not the ones it was created with. The live set consists of strings and horns, so you can imagine how the beat sounds...

you're using up all 8 parts for the strings and horns?

Nope... Just 1-4. What to do?

select rhythm and your drums on one of the unused parts. press your pad and play on. :p

No, I just can't seem to get it right.

My Studio set consists of two different kits which I have placed on parts 1 and 3. There is a patch (a log drum) on part 2. I then recorded a two bar beat with the loop function. In the Song Play window you can see the two drum kits and the log drum on MIDI tracks 1-3. When I load the song, everything is fine. I hear the corrects sounds in the correct tempo.

My Live set is "split in half". For my left hand there are two string patches (parts 1 and 2) and for my right hand two patches with trumpets and horns (parts 3 and 4).

Now I would like to use my Live set while having the song in the background.

FatBrass, but you can't combine a live set with a studio set - these are two different modes. What you can do is load up the same patches you use in your live set into the studio set and play them along with the sequenced ones.

OK, Art. That seems to work. But I can only play one part at a time, right? I need to play four...
