Turning off Pad Loop with the keyboard?

Hey guys, we have a song in our set that I'm starting off with a sound-effect loop, I have it as a Sample Set on the pads, so I hit the LOOP button then hit the pad and I'm off.

The question is, is there a way for me to turn LOOP off from the keyboard, so that the loop ends as soon as I start playing?

I know I could assign the loop to a key instead and hold it down but I want to keep it on the pads.

Any ideas? I'm not using a Song so I don't know how to do any CC / SysEx tricks...

I use the D-beam trigger in latch mode to stop and start a pad playing a loop (but dont wave your arms about too much later in the song or the loop will start up again!)
