Specific Interface for Fantom X and FL Studio PC
11 May 2009, 07:58Hello-
Is there a specific audio/midi interface that is recommended for the Roland Fantom X-8 and a PC?
I am trying to trigger the eternal sounds/patches OF THE ROLAND Fantom through midi by having FL Studio trigger the sounds.
I have seen Buzzhawgs tutorial and tried my best to follow and tweak the settings but I still can't get it.
One thing I did notice was that in FL Studio on the MIDI settings page, when I go through my soundcard with midi cables it lists "SB Synth A," "SB Synth B" and "SB Midi port."
When I use the M-AUDIO UNO SPORT midi to usb, the FL MIDI settings page lists the "uno sport' under output and "uno sport" under input.
I mention this because on Buzzhawgs tutorial, on the FL Studio midi settings page, it specific lists "Roland Fantom X-8" under the midi settings of FL Studio.
Is there a specific setup or driver I need to install so my populated list can include the specific "Roland Fantom X-8" to show up exactly as written? Or maybe something to set up on a PC? (default MIDI on control panel-audio and sound devices?)
