Aftertouch and Rhythm question

Aftertouch and Rhythm question

Question 1

I'm playing using performance mode. The X7 is split, Bass Guitar on the Left, EP on the right.
I programmed the Bass to modulate at the rate at which I press the keyboards aftertouch. I'm getting the EP modulating too.
Is there a way to have aftertouch assigned to the bass only?

Question 2

In voice mode I programmed a couple beats that I use.
Rhythm 1 uses 1/16 timing and Rhythm 2 uses 1/12 timing.
I have to manually change from 1/16 to 1/12 to make beat 2 sound the way I want it to.
Is there a way to save beat 2 the way I want it?

Thanks Lang

I'm not near my Fantom so I'm sorry if i'm wrong about some of the things.
1. I think that you can enter part view in performance mode and select parts that will receive aftertouch msgs.
look it up. That window is an important tool, Try experimenting with it.
2. I'm not sure i understand what is it that you want.

Questions 1,
You need to look at the Performance Control Switch Settings to control which channels receive aftertouch. See manual p. 118

Question 2,
You mean you have one user rhythm with 16 beats and one with 12 and you want to be able to switch between the two time signatures just by using the pads? If I'm correct, that is probably possible via some tricky RPS code, but I'm not sure how you would go about it, beyond putting the change in time signature code at the start of each pattern.

Hope this helps.
