Headset mic ?

Complete newbie question.

I have a heatset mic, that I use for gaming mainly and I wondering if it was possible to plug the mic input into the fanthom g ?

I can use a jack converter.

Would it work? which input would it need to go in.

Yes it will work, but it will still sound like a headset mic.

ok - I just tried plugging it in but I'm not getting any levels from within sampling on Line L.

What am I missing?

Plug it in the guitar line and adjust the level from he little level knob in the back and switch to Hi-Z.

Press SHIFT+MIX IN buttons and set your input settings to MIC/GUITAR.

If the headset is noisy, try the noise suppressor input effect.

This just out of the hat, cause I have never tried a headset mic myself...

ok I tried that .. plugged it in mic/guitar .. adjusted the level knob on the back ....moved it to Hi-Z , pressed Shift MIX to bring up the configuration.

Still not getting any input. Levels are at zero.

I'm starting to think it will not work, works fine as a input on my Laptop via the mic in.

Any other thoughts ?

There is a small black knob at the back of the G that sets the input gain, maybe it's set to the lowest (zero) level?

Seems like it would need some kind of amplification first ...

Anwyay, try for funsies but I'd just forget it ... it will sound like poo poo ...

This is what I use when performing live ... Crown headset mic ...

Sounds as good as the handheld Audix mic I use as well ...
