Problems with the joystick

Anyone had any?

Mine has been playing up a bit. I usually have mine set to -12 and +2. But whenever I do a pitch dive, or use it to bend into a note, or use it for vibrato, it acts up and the pitch is all over the place.

Kind of hard to explain. I'm currently uploading a short audio example if anyone's interested...

In the meantime, I've attached an image of the midi data recorded into pro-tools from a large pitch bend. You can see how shaky it is... All I was doing was smoothly moving the lever from all the way down to it's central position.

And no, I don't have parkinson's or arthritis! My hands are fine and this has never happened until a couple of weeks ago. I haven't moved the Fantom from where it currently sits since early December.

It's still under warranty, so I could send it away I guess, but it's not a great time...
Is it worth doing a factory reset or something, or would I be wasting my time?
Any other advices?

I had the same problem with my G6. I propably broke the joystick while adding RAM-memory. My joystick was acting up especially when I used large bends similar to the way you do.

I got mine fixed thanks to the warranty.

Pitch bend worked fine when I controlled the G with a midi keyboard, so i suspected that my joystick was broken.
