I recently acquired an MV and would like to know if there is a straightforward way to use the sliders as volume controls for audio phrases the way you could on the SP-808EX.

{If you had the SP in "pad-to-track" mode (under "SONG" parameters) you could use the sliders as volume faders in four exclusive groups where each column of pads made up an exclusive group.}

I would like to use the sliders to control volume of phrase loops without making them audio tracks per se, but maybe this is not possible.......?
