Will it overwrite?

Will it overwrite?

Hey guys,

I've got Art's Planet Pack installed on my 2GB compact flash card, and I'd like to add the patches created by Cesarsound (B3 and Rhodes) to them. His instructions say to copy the ROLAND and TMP folders onto the card, similar to how Planet V was loaded, but I'm afraid I'll lose all my current card data (including songs) if I do this. Are my fears justified, or can I just copy this without worrying about losing anything?

Thanks,
Andy

Planet V uses samples up to around number 1050, and there is an SVD file with all the patches in the ROLAND folder as well. If you copy another ROLAND folder onto this card, you will loose part of the samples (they will be replaced by the new ones) and all the patches.

You either need to use a second Compact Flash card for these sounds, or import the samples via the Import Audio procedure and recreate the mutlisamples (it's done via the Load -> Create Multisample procedure from the Sample List).
