Fantom X Price drop
29 Nov 2008, 01:29I was just wondering does anyone know if there will be another price drop on the x series before it sells out. I want to buy as they are at a pretty good price now but if it is going to drop again I will wait.

29 Nov 2008, 01:40Looks unlikely. Stores are doing closeout deals at the current prices. Walk into most brick and mortar stores, you'll find they're all sold out.

29 Nov 2008, 09:06Lowest ever price I've seen on the X8 was 1600 euros on Thomann (but it might have been the last one before it's been discontinued), although I got it for 2000 euros. I still think I got a good deal. The G8 was 2990 (very close to 3000) from what I remember - which I thought it was too much. The ARX boards are supposed to bring new dimensions to the instrument (as if you'd get 2 or more synths in the same package) but I'm in no way impressed by the drums / e. piano boards. They also add to the total price, remember... the SRX boards add too but they seem a better bang for the buck... if future ARX boards prove me wrong, then again... I might take a G into consideration... considering also future OS upgrades and such...
