SRX done for?

SRX done for?

So are all SRX starting to be pulled off the shelves to make way for ARX? As for me, I haven't decided which SRX to invest in yet.

But it wouldn't make sense yet because the Juno-G is still out on the market and uses SRX?

I don't want to be unable to expand my sound palettes later on if I choose to.

Good question. I don't even know the answer for that one.

Also just to add to your question do you know if all the ARX series are installed on the Fantom G series because I saw a video somewhere and it said that it did but I'm not too sure.

Thanks =)
Keyboards are the future!

I haven't heard of the SRX boards being discontinued. And even if they were, why worry if:

1. They are available used for very cheap.
2. There is just one slot in your Juno-G.
3. You can get tons of free and commercial sounds as well.

>Memoryguy,

Buy Artemiy's sounds NOW. They are awesome. I have the Planets F, X & V and they are really inspiring. They don't all fit my "usual" style, which is good, because they force me down musical paths I wouldn't otherwise take.

If there's a particular SRX board you fancy, go get it now before they do disappear. My X-7 has SRX-01 Drums, SRX-06 Orchestra, SRX-07 Ultimate Keys and SRX-09 World inside & between them & the Planets the pallette of sounds at my immediate disposal is immense.

Exactly. And don't forget that Roland is still selling the SonicCell, RD-700GX, and Juno-Stage. Each of those can hold two SRX cards.

yeah, it sucks- my Sonic Cell is full- darn it!
It's funny, I thought I would never want that Brass card- then i started listening to some salsa and latin music- and now have a hankering to try some stuff out- and of course- would love the brass SRX. But that could be a great ARX card as well. I think once we see some new ARX cards- we may not be so hot over the SRX stuff.

SRX will be available as long as people keep buying them. I'd imagine for the next couple of years you could still buy SRX cards. I just wish they weren't so darned expensive.
