i can quantize in grid or shuffle mode during recording but why not template?????? is this an omission or is there something difficult about roland adding this in?

Groove quantize templates are generally meant to be applied more carefully, so you adjust the parameters while previewing the recording.

Once you have reviewed the grove quantization settings and decided which ones you are going to use, one can safely apply to the next recordings. So, if grove settings can be set for input quantize, that will be great.

The one parameter that's missing from the grove quantization is the level of velocity. What if I only like the grove timing, but not the velocity levels, and I want to apply 100% timing but only 50% velocity.

On Fantom X, it was easy to apply the grove quantize globally. You would select, all bars, all channels, all tracks and apply the grove quantize after every recording takes. I don't know if you can edit all phrases, all tracks, all channels on Fantom G.

I agree with Shakil, the Fantom G Groove quantize still needs work from Roland.

you get better results if you dont use quantize. It kinda takes away that swinging feel from the melody. But if your doing drums on the g is can see. I use an mpc to control the g.

Yes, but if it's groove quantization and you adjust the percentage so that it is not 100% quantize, you still keep the looser live feel.

I think it should be available on input too.
