Saving Planet V Patch in Internal from Card

Saving Planet V Patch in Internal from Card

5 Jan 2008, 14:00
Hey Bros,

I have Planet V (luv it) on a memory card and want to save the patch (and sample) to my user memory, the 15 megs I have internal on my Fantom XR.

Copied the Patch, but the samples are not imported. Have been reading the manual - is it as simple as coping the waves over to internal? Will the Patch then find the samples in internal if the Card samples have not been pre-loaded on boot-up.

Thanks for your help

Hello, zebro!

Thanks, I am very glad you love Planet V, expect a patch update this spring ;-)

To copy a patch plus it's samples, you'd need to do several things:

1. See which multisamples the patch uses
2. See which samples these multisamples use
3. Copy the samples to user area
4. Re-create the multisamples and save them to user area
5. In patch edit mode, wave screen, set the card area multisamples to these new user area multisamples

Not that easy I must say (hey, Planet V took me about 9 months!), not sure it's worth it and why you need this.

I agree it sounds like to much work. I'm just trying to take the favorite patches out so the loading time is slower.
Mabey I'll just remove the samples from the Card for Patches that I'm not using. Will that work?

Mosly I like the syth sounds, like Nordic Lead and especially Mono Sync. I make them polyphonic and jam away on them.

Hopefully more of these sounds are coming in spring.

Thanks Artemio

This will be a very time-consuming task...
