JP-8080 Option for Read/write in Sequencer

Im trying to record my automation/adjustments in cubase eg. moving the filter by hand and cubase records the movement, how ever cubase does not seem to read the midi, does anyone know if there is a option in the JP-8080 to enable this? I have a Roland Alpha Juno-2 Midi in and out going into my sound card and the Midi thru going into my JP-8080

I think the 8080 uses SysEx messages, not control change messages - see if Cubase is set to receive them.
