Alt. Hammond on Fantom using SRX 7

Hey:

I've been using this for over a year.
The SRX 7 card has lots of (IMO) great B-3 patches.
But I've never liked the sim fast leslie speed, but the "7" card has samples of leslie at fast speed.

So I set up my Performance like this. (fast speed - all SRX-7)
1.) Lelsie B3, 2.)Dyna Hammond 3.) Percky Twin
4.) ZomBee XRX (a percrssion hit)

My set is different cause I have a RD-700SX and a Fantom XR. I set up the patchs to control each organs sound by the four Zone Switch Controll faders, then use them kind of like drawbars.
The Dyna Hammond is thin and juicy, so a lot of this and a little of 1, or 3, then a smatter of 4. That's a B.

I have another patch where I switched 2 fast faders to slow organ patches ,
(eg.X Perc Organ Fantom patch) so I can fade from fast to slow.

Work great for me, (I had a 1953 vintage B-3 years ago, so I know ) really great B-3 scream.

I also downloaded B4 RealEmulator. Nice work!

Dear Z-Bro:

I loved your idea and tried it out with my Fantom X-7 alone. With apologies for not yet finishing loading B4Real emulator, you can get the same result you get on the X alone by assigning each of your 4 patches to a performance, parts 1-4, and then using the Mixer function use the Realtime knobs 1-4 to control the volume of those parts.

If I could only figure out how to make serious money at this stuff, I'd be the happiest man in the world, because this stuff is a constant wonder to me, and this forum has some amazing ideas.

Hi zebro,

the easiest way to share your idea would be a little fxl-file attachment here (for anybody having the srx-07 on board like I do) with just the settings for this one sound including your MFX settings.

Couldn't you post it here?

Zebro this is fab

Thanks for posting this.
I tried the sounds you suggested together and they work pretty well. I ended up swapping the Leslied B3 for the PowerB SRX and ZomBee SRX for HardPerc3, then tweak away to my heart's content.

Leaving HardPerc3 low in the mix just gives a bit of click on Note-On, but then you can turn it up to grind solos a la Deep Purple In Rock!

Top stuff. ;o)
