Single's :Backing Tracks on DVD player

Any one here doing this?
Been doing this for a couple of years. Drop the tracks into a PC, run them hotter by slammin them in a compresser, put them into MP3's....Then burn a CD and use them on stage as back up tracks.
The advantages:
1. Free the Fantom. Use Preformance mode for fat patches etc.
1. DVD players (that play Mp3's) are super cheap. I use a single rack space home use type....
PS. works best with phono to mono 1/4 in jacks into 2 channels.
Oh ya. Then i wrote a song list, pasted it on top and use the remote at a gig.
