Roland XP-60
18 Mar 2007, 23:11I recently had a problem that I just can't figure out. I use sequences that are in the .sqv format and they work without any problems in my XP-60. However, the other day, a friend decided to want to listen to a .mid file for which for whatever reason did not work. I re-checked my .sqv files and they work fine. I asked my friend where he got his .mid file from and was told that he downloaded it from the internet. I then checked some .mid files that I had for years and they did not work. Has anyone had this problem in the past. I learned from my friend that the platform he uses in his computer is Windows 95. Could this be the problem.
To troubleshoot this problem, I saved my performances and sounds and did a factory reset, which then allowed the XP-60 to again read .mid files until my drummer put a .mid file into my XP-60 and again I had the same problem. My XP-60, however still reads the .sqv files faithfully.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on. Do I have a bad drive. It still reads .sqv files and .svd files.
Any information is appreciated.
