*.MID file and the Fantom Xa

I would like to load a *.mid file into my fantom and have each midi channel from that file on a separate track. However all midi channels apear on track 1. The fantom is in performance mode so all tracks are available.
I know there's a way to get this done by using the extract function, track by track by track, but is there a way to speed this up ?
When i load the file in e.g. cubase all instruments (midi channels) are on a seperate track. And thats what i want.

Is this possible and how should i do this

From the FAQ:

If you want a track/pattern to be automatically divided into parts (channels), e.g. part 1 -> track 1, part 2 -> track 2, ... , part 16 -> track 16, the procedure is as follows:

- In sequencer mode, hit F8 [Track Edit]
- Choose "Extract"
- Set "Track" to the track/pattern you want to extract from
- Set "Dst. Track" to "ALL"
- Set "MIDI Channel" to "ALL"
- Hit F8 [Exec], confirm the operation with F8 [Ok]
- Repeat to extract all parts you want to different tracks/patterns

Thanks Artemio for your quick response. I've tried this one before i asked the question but all kind of messages like bender information with values like 4750 or -2350 remain in track 1. These belong to the guitar part on track 3. Is this the way it supposed to be ? Can't imagine. I'm new in working with the Fantom sequencer, allways used an Atari 1040St with Creator. So maybe i'm thinking wrong but all information about, let's say midichannel 3, should be on track3 and not on 1 ??

Hope anyone can help me out.
