Transmitting midi info all the time

Why is it tha my FX7 is alway transmitting midi info if there is nothing going on on the FX ????

It works well but my midi patchbay shows midi signal from my FX7's midi out port all the time the keyboard is on .

What is it transmitting???????

Is this normal behavior????

That's MIDI active sensing -- The FX is sending a 'keepalive' packet to let other gear know if the MIDI cable gets disconnected, so they can cut off their sounds. Check p. 230 of the manual, I think it's turned off in the System/MIDI menu.
