I have long searched for samples of a honky-tonk piano, with tacks in the hammers and such. Well, I found a free soundfont which is close to what I'm after, only there are too few samples in certain octaves. The pitchbending required on some of these samples is a bit much. But, I was thinking with a V-synth you could preserve the formant of the samples and create new samples that would maintain the sound of the piano without the pitch-bending chip-munky type sound correct? Well, I'm wondering if any v-synth owners would care to make a few new samples for me if I were to send them this soundfont. I could even break the soundfont up into .wavs and just send you the .wavs I'd like re-sampled. Of course I'd give you the completed soundfont when it's done, as well as part authorship/ownership credits wherever I repost it. So many people are trying to make the perfect piano library. I'm trying to make the not-so-perfect piano library. But as it is it's just a little too imperfect now with too few samples. Anyone out there care to help a fella out? It'll be a really unique sound, I promise.
